"Stock Design" refers to seals which are:
text only or text and a stock design or stock design only or stock text to create standard monogram
- CUSTOM DESIGN #EMB-CUS - Base Price $99 - includes standard desktop handle
"Custom Design" refers to your submitted camera ready or electronic artwork for the entire seal
or center of a seal with text, depending on detail in artwork we may suggest using a size 2 seal only. Custom
quoting is NOT required. Be sure when sending in your artwork you include the entire design and any text
as a complete image. Artwork submission guidelines.

Heavy duty metal handled embossers come with Delrin dies and counters. Delrin is an extremely durable form of nylon that supports finer detail engraving by laser. The Delrin material used for the die and counter is equally as durable as a brass and Bakelite combination. The laser engraving process that we use is not able to cut brass dies.
If you would like a brass and Bakelite insert, available for text only (inserts with graphics and logos priced upon application - expect $200-$400 per insert) use code "EMB-BBC" on your order form to change to the brass and Bakelite insert, may require additional production time.

- When ordering an embosser, please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Custom quoting is not necessary. All information needed to order including full pricing is located on this page.
Embosser sizes and types available are all listed, all have links to pictures of the product.
- Copyrighted materials require submission of an authorization to reproduce artwork form.
- Artwork will be sized to maximum usable area of the seal unless otherwise specified in writing
as a measurement at time of order. Faxes, renderings and electronic artwork submissions do not
constitute exact measurements. There is an approx 1/8" perimeter of unusable area around each seal.
- Stock Monogram Styles: When ordering a monogram, be sure to indicate order from left to right and whether you would like:
"Mono 1" all same size initials OR "Mono 2" center initial larger
- The black parts of the artwork will be the raised parts of the embossing and the white parts of the artwork will remain flat.
- These embossers cannot be made with multi-level impressions.
- Render the image as a simple line drawing. If the design has any large, continuous black (raised) areas, try to minimize them as much as possible.
A large raised area in the die will put a lot of stress on the paper when embossed and is likely to result in a tear or punched out section.
- All of the embossers we sell are designed for use with up to 24lb papers or light napkin plys.
Use on paper of heavier weights is NOT recommended.
Use on a heavier weight paper will result in damaging the embosser as well as result
in a blurred image. Excessive stress will bend or misalign the insert. We sell paper
embossers only. We do not sell any
manual devices to make an impression on a heavier weight paper, leather, metal,
plastic or rubber. If stamping on a heavier weight is required, please consider a
rubber stamp or having your material commercially embossed.
- Handles and the actual mechanism are a very small part of the cost of embossers.
The bulk of the cost is in the creation of the die. We do not guarantee the fit of any dies customers may have as
embossing dies differ from manufacturer to manufacturer. You are welcome to purchase a complete custom embosser.
We sell "Ideal" embossers. We do not sell "Elite" or "Official" embossers as we have found that they are not as
reliable for long term use.
- Please keep in mind that an embosser is used to created a raised impression on paper, it will
not ink or colorize the paper. If you are looking for a device to make a ink impression, please
consider a rubber stamp. We do not carry hot foil stampers which are also frequently used to
foil stamp images. Hot foil stampers range in the thousands of dollars and are a commercial product.
- **Regarding Government, Official, State, Academic and Institution Embossers
As it is Sand Scripts' responsibility to safeguard against the creation of fraudulent embossers - the following are to be received to consider fulfilling an official seal order
1) Artwork must be submitted via postal mail to Sand Script's Post Office Box address along with a signed Authorization to Reproduce Form
2) Order must be submitted in writting on original business or state letterhead signed by two principals of the organization.
Follow up phone calls to these official representatives as well as other representatives will be made by Sand Scripts to authenticate your order.
3) An original purchase order must accompany the order along with payment via a corporate credit card or official business check. No personal checks or money orders will be accepted.
4) Product(s) must ship to the physical address of the institution the product represents.
No documents will be returned. Your original e-mail, order and further correspondence will be kept on file and submitted to authorities if necessary.
- All Embossers and Rubber Stamps are non-refundable, non-returnable, non-exchangeable.
In the event of a manufacturer's error (such as typesetting mistake,
fixed position error or incorrect handle sent), just let
us know in writting via e-mail or fax, we will promptly investigate and correct.
All claims must be made within 7 days of receipt of product.
