There is a tiny slit (usually less than .5") under the neck hole to make sure the curved tie separates from the body of the bib without tearing the bib or the tie. It also helps the bib to lay flat on the chest of the wearer. This is evidence in the numerous product pictures on the site and is not a defect of the bib. MATERIAL:  - Adult Size, full coverage, extra long approximately 15" wide x 30" long  - The large black outlined, red stock crab is pre-printed on the bibs.  - Poly backed paper, this is a white paper waffle texture tissue cellulose front with a plastic backing with ties. Ties are die cut around the neck.  - We can not change the base color of this bib, it is white and the crab is red/black.  - Bibs with just the crab imprint are available. - Our bibs help keep event guests clean as the paper front is absorbent and drips do not run off as they can with plastic bibs.  - Stock is never an issue with these bibs. Due to the nature of the fabric and print process, imprint may have the tendency to be uneven. Imprint is transferred to the material with a heat process, a border of the material, sometimes yellow in color, sometimes shiny, may show thru to the front of the product. Slit in neck area is die cut release and there to help paper bibs stay flat, it is not a defect in the bib. Bib imprinted centered left/right unless otherwise specified, printed on hand jig, location of imprint on the neck hole in relation to the neck hole may vary.
